Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about PJX:
What is changing about PJX?
PJX is currently moving from one large annual expo to several smaller, onsite events built around hands-on training and useful conversation. Seating will be limited intentionally so that attendees have more 1-on-1 opportunities with instructors, vendors, and other artists.
Which event can I register for now?
The Winter Event (January 28–29, 2027) is the only event currently being sold. If you're unable to attend in January, join the waitlist and we will reach out with details on other future events as the dates get finalized.
How will future event announcements work?
Click this Join the Waitlist link and you will receive notifications about future dates and registration announcements.
How long is the January event?
The PJX 2027 Winter Event is scheduled for two days on January 28–29, 2027.
How many people attend?
Seating is intentionally limited, with far fewer seats than previous years, so the group stays small enough for questions, coaching, and meaningful time and instruction for all.
Who will teach the event?
Instructors will include the biggest and brightest names and artists in the industry. If you would like to be considered as an instructor, please fill out this form.
What will we train on?
The hands-on portion of PJX is designed around guided practice on real permanent jewelry equipment and tools. The conference topics will cover all aspects and important functions of owning, operating, and building a permanent jewelry business.
Do I need to bring a welder or tools?
No, you do not need to bring any of your own equipment. However, if you would like to bring your own equipment, you absolutely can do so.
What topics are planned?
Current planning includes equipment setup, welding technique, fitting, troubleshooting, materials, inventory, pricing, customer care, content, bookings, and practical business systems. The final agenda will be published before the event.
What does registration include?
PJX attendees always get more than what they pay for, and PJX 2027 is no different: 2-days of classes and training; 1-on-1 hands-on welding training; basic to advanced; FREE Sunstone Shades ($550 value); FREE 6-months of Sunstone Studio + CRM ($1700 value); Sales, Marketing, and Operations playbooks to unlock growth; Networking opportunities with artists, instructors, and vendors; Catered lunches, coffee, snacks, and SWAG.
How does registration work?
Click the Register Now link, fill out the forms, and proceed to checkout. Then you're on the list of attendees. We will send additional details about the event in the weeks leading up to the event.
Where is PJX held?
The events are planned for the Sunstone Training Center at 588 S 2000 W, STE 400, Springville, Utah 84663. The linked address on the site opens Google Maps directions.
Where should I stay?
The Travel page lists four recommended hotels with addresses, front desk numbers, official websites, Google Maps links, and approximate distance from the training center.
Is this the same as the large annual PJX Expo?
No. For PJX 2027 events, the format is to organize several smaller more personal training events rather than one single large event.
Can my company sponsor PJX?
Yes. The Sponsorships page will show the sponsorship options currently available. Fill out the request form and a member of the PJX team will reach out to discuss the opportunity.
